We support every individual with disabilities to engage in community, recreational, and social activities to build skills, independence, and connections - engaging in activities like sports, classes, hobbies, volunteering, and outings.

The primary goal is to reduce isolation, boost confidence, and foster independence by allowing participants to engage in activities they enjoy within the community.

What activities are included:

  • Activities: Joining sports clubs, art/craft classes, volunteering, library visits, attending concerts, movies, and camping trips.

  • Support: Assistance from support workers for transport to and from activities, as well as support during the activity.

  • Skill Building: Developing new social, life, or vocational skills through, for example, cooking classes or mentoring.

Key Aspects of Social & Community Participation:

  • Core Supports: Often used for daily or weekly support to attend activities.

  • Capacity Building (Increased Social and Community Participation): Specifically for activities aimed at building skills and independence, such as training or workshops.
